CANDLE SAFETY
*Please note that there is a safety label on the bottom of your candle and each order comes with a candle care card reiterating some of these safety tips!*
- Never leave a burning candle unattended
- Avoid placing your candle near vents or any drafts as this disturbs the flame
- Keep your candle away from things that can catch fire such as curtains
- Keep your candle away from pets and children
- Do not touch your candle or move its flame while the candle is burning
- Do not touch your candle after burning until the candle is cool again
- If you ever feel unsafe using your candle, it is better to be safe than sorry and blow out the candle!
TAKING CARE OF YOUR CANDLE
- During the first burn of your candle, make sure you allow the candle to burn for 2-4 hours to achieve a full melt pool! If you skip this step, your candle might tunnel!
- Trim your wick to 1/4 inch each time before you burn your candle. This prevents sooting and helps the candle keep a controlled flame to prevent uneven burning. You can use nail clippers, a wick trimmer or scissors to trim your wick!
- To extinguish the flame of your candle, do not use water! The best tool to use would be a candle snuffer.
Please be safe when handling candles! You are dealing with a live flame and fire can be unpredictable. Nicole Lajae is not liable for any injury or damages caused when using our candles. If you have any questions, please contact us.
